JoSAA 2016 (Joint Seat Allotment Authority) JoSAA is Joint Seat Allotment Authority which conducts common entrance exam to take admission in Engineering colleges. The JoSAA Brochure has been released. Joint Seat Allotment Authority is set up by MHRD to manage and regulate Joint Seat allocation for admission to 87 Institutes for academic Year 2016-17. JoSAA 2016 will be the basis for allotment of engineering seats through JEE Main 2016 and JEE Advanced 2016. Allocation of seats in any of 18 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIS) will be done through JoSAA 2016 which is allocation authority from last Year which is fixed this year also by MHRD.

What Behind JoSAA 2016 (Why and How)

Some important information we are providing given below. The Joint Admission Board(JAB) Represents IITs and ISM Dhanbad, and CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) are taking exam on behalf of National Institute of Technology and CFTI have come together to conduct a common counselling for the two exams of JEE which is JEE Main 2016 and JEE Advanced 2016. So the authority will be known as Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

(Joint Seat Allotment Authority) JoSAA History

The purpose of the organize JoSAA is to establish a common platform for candidates to apply common application to take admission in various top Engineering colleges.  Through Joint Seat Allocation Authority 88 IIT,s, CIFT,s , 28 NIT,s and various other institutes can be filled their seats through single registration. So it is the relief for the students . Students can save their money and time . The Joint Seat Allocation Authority is also to eradicate the problem of reserving the multiple seats. Due to this, students can choose multiple optionjs but can fill only one seat. But before 2015, The seats were vacant in the various institutions, because Students reserved their seats in multiple institutions. On 2nd May 2015 IIT Bombay organizes first meeting in the campus. Various issues were discussed in the meeting. The Rules were fixed in the meeting. The rules are available at www.www.jeeadv.iitb.ac.in. The procedure for the joint seat allocation was commenced on 1st July 2015.

Total 33365 number of seats are allocated through JoSAA 2016 which is aloocated to JoSAA 2016 Partcipated Institutes which are IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs

JoSAA(Joint Seat Allocation Authority )- IIT JEE Counseling

The seat in the IIT, ISM,NIT and other Govt. Funded Technical Institutes (GFTI) will be allocated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. So the candidates who complete their criteria are eligible for the joint seat allocation process by filling their choices in the courses.

All the candidates who complete their eligibility according to JoSAA for JEE Main 2016 counselling can register for JoSAA 2016.  To fill up the application main points are given below.

  • Check your eligibility for Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Conselling.
  • Log on to official website of JoSAA at JoSAA 2016: josaa.nic.in
  • Fill the choices, priority of the colleges and branch of combinations of IIT,NIT and GFTI.

The seats in the IIT,NIT and other institutes wil;lbe filled by the Joint Seat Allocatrion Authority(JoSAA).So all the candidates who are eligible for sitting in the exam can fill their choices and participate in the Joint seat allocation process. All the necessary instructions and procedures wiil be made available by JoSAA through Seat Allotment Brochure. The schedule of the Joint Seat Allocation will be declared by the authority. When the candidate fill the choices and priorities , the list of course offer by the IIT AND NIT will be available there.
