About Josaa 2017  : JoSAA is managed by the ministry of human resource development for the selection into the 87 instructions in the country for the academics year of 2017- 2017. The participating institutions include top institution of the country out of which most of them are government and rest are funded by the state government or they are semi- government. In includes 18 IIT’s, ISM, 18 Indian institute of information technology, 31 National Institute of technology & 18 other government funded institutions.

Josaa 2017 – Complete detail

The main eligibility for taking the admission into IIT’s & ISM is the candidate must qualified JEE Advanced 2017. For the eligibility into NIT’s and IIIT’s there is a little relaxation in the examination, i.e. for it the candidate must qualified JEE main 2017 Paper 1. Inspire of this is not the only eligibility candidate must fulfill the eligibility for the JEE 2017. For taking the admission into this institution each and every candidate must fulfill eligibility. Fulfilling of the eligibility doesn’t guarantee admission into IIT’s ISM NIT’s or IIIT’s. Seat allocation into these institutions depends on the listed factors. The main priority is given to the category of the candidate i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories. If you are thinking that you admission is totally depends on these categories then things are not like that. Second thing which is considered for your admission is your marks and rank in the examination. It’s not enough up to it, because your seat allocation also depends on your academics performance.

JoSAA 2017 rank list includes two ranks one which is based on the category of the candidate and another is the overall rank in the examination.

JoSAA 2017 Seat Allotment are allotted on the bases of the priorities of the candidate. Generally IIT’s and ISM is filled with the creamy layer of the students. Then students choose NIT’s and after it IIT’s followed by other institutions. Candidate need to JoSAA 2017 Choice Filling and finalize their choices on the online portal on the priority bases. Once the applicant lock their choice then there will be no modification allowed. For the IIT’s, ISM and NIT’s candidate is needed to visit the admission center declared by the respective institution with all documents.  If there is some up-gradation in the choices from nit’s to IIT’s then candidate need to visit both the reporting centers on the urgent bases. If two candidates are getting same rank and both of them belonged to same category then the seat allocation is done on the bases of their age and academics performance and in this respect the decision of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is finalized.
